PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The award-winning Broadway smash hit, SIX, is coming to the Kimmel Cultural Campus next week for a three-week run. The show highlights the six wives of Henry the VIII. And while there's historical context, this 16th-century story is remixed in a way that critics say "reigns supreme." The queens in the show say viewers will walk away from the experience feeling like they just left a Beyonce concert.

The only thing more famous than having King Henry VIII vividly kill off his wives Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr is how the British-based, Broadway-bound musical comedy from Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss told their stories in song.

“As soon as we get off stage, we put our masks on,” Gerianne Pérez, of “Waitress,” said. “It can be difficult, because it messes up your stage makeup. ... We are doing this balancing act of enjoying each other’s company and being very careful.”
